DES496/596 Directed Research in Design (University of Washington)
Aproximately 5-15 students (University of Washington).
Undergrad, Masters, and PhD from multiple programs.
Taught once per quarter 2020-present

Each quarter I teach a for-credit directed research group course. I admit students from multiple programs including Design, Computer Science, Information Science, and the Masters of Human-Computer Interaction programs. Usually students work on funded research projects. Many students have co-authored publications resulting from these courses. I also use these courses to explore new research topics.
